Faculty of Engineering, King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok offers full tuition fee waivers for outstanding students in the following programs:
- English program in Electrical Engineering
- English program in Robotic Engineering and Automation System
- International program in Innovative Materials Engineering
- International program in Aerospace Engineering
- International program in Mechanical Engineering
**Students who receive the scholarship need to maintain at least an accumulated GPA of 2.85/4 throughout the program.

Round 2: April 1, 2023 – May 1, 2024
Qualifications
Eligible applicants are those who fulfill the following admission requirements:
- Holds a high school diploma or certificate (or its equivalent)
- Is proficient in English.
- Has one of the following standardized tests:
- Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT)
- SAT (Math) not less than 600 and
- SAT Subject (Math Level II) not less than 600
- SAT II (Physics and Chemistry) not less than 600 in both subjects
Or
- A Level (Mathematics) not less than B
- A Level (Physics and Chemistry) not less than B in both subjects
Or
- IB (Mathematics) HL not less than 6
- IB (Physics and Chemistry) HL not less than 6 in both subjects
Or
- International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) or General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) or General Certificate of Education (GCE) which scores are not less than C in at least 5 subjects and must include Mathematics and Physics in those 5 subjects.
- English Language Qualifications
- TOEFL (PBT) not less than 500 or IBT 61
- TOEIC not less than 600
- IELTS not less than 5.0
- K-STEP not less than 55 percent
- Students who are native speaker are not required to take the English proficiency test.
Tuition fee support scholarships for all engineering programs
Qualified students in the all engineering programs are awarded scholarships if certain qualifications are met. The announcements are made in Thai and posted on the Faculty of Engineering website ( www.eng.kmutnb.ac.th )
Two types of merit-based scholarships are available
1) A full scholarship: the full tuition is reimbursed after attending the program.
Scholarship Qualifications:
- Students have an accumulated GPA of more than 3.00 (out of 4.00 scale) from high school or equivalent degree
- Students must not receive other kinds of scholarship at the same time
- Students must get a TOEFL (PBT) test score of 450 or higher (an equivalent score in other English standardized tests are also applicable) at the time of submitting the scholarship application.
Note: The full scholarship will be awarded to a selected group of students from the first semester onward. It will be renewed through the duration of the program as long as the recipients maintain accumulated GPAs of more than 3.25.
2) A financially support scholarship: a subsidy of 20,000 Baht for English and International programs is reimbursed after attending the program. The student is still responsible for the remaining fees.
Scholarship Qualifications:
- Students must not receive other kinds of scholarship at the same time
- Current students in the program who maintain an accumulated GPA of more than 2.85 may apply for the scholarship.
- Students must be well-behaved.
Recipients of the scholarships will be selected by a committee from the Faculty of Engineering. The scholarships are awarded on a semester basis. **

Bangkok offers full tuition fee waivers for Bachelor’s degree for International students in the following programs:
1. English program in Electrical Engineering
2. English program in Robotic Engineering and Automation System
3. International program in Innovative Materials Engineering
4. International program in Chemical Engineering
5. International program in Aerospace Engineering
2 scholarships for each program (Total of 10 scholarships)
*Tuition waiver scholarship is applicable for non-Thai citizens
**Students who receive the scholarship need to maintain at least an accumulated GPA of 2.85/4
throughout the program.
Qualification
Eligible applicants are those who fulfill the following admission requirements:
1. is non-Thai citizen.
2. holds a high school diploma or certificate (or its equivalent)
3. is proficient in English.
4. has one of the following standardized tests:
• Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT)
o Total scores of English (Reading) and Math is not less than 1000 and Math score is not less than 550
• International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) or General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) or General Certificate of Education (GCE)
o At least five subjects must have grade C and those two of five subjects must contain Math and Physics.
• 2019 Thai University Central Admission System : TCAS
5. English Language Qualifications
• Students having a TOEFL (PBT) score of 450 or TOEFL (IBT) score of 45 or IELT score of 5.5 or equivalent
• Students who are native speaker are not required to take the English proficiency test.
