Shizuoka University Delegates Explore Academic Collaboration at KMUTNB

On February 20, 2025, KMUTNB’s Faculty of Engineering played host to a distinguished delegation from Japan, marking a promising step towards deepening international academic ties. The visit featured Prof. Masaaki Motozawa from Shizuoka University’s Department of Mechanical Engineering and Prof. Tatsuo Sawada, a renowned retired professor from Keio University, both of whom brought decades of expertise in engineering education and research.
During the visit, discussions centered on establishing a formal Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at fostering collaborative efforts between the institutions. In conversations with KMUTNB representatives—Asst.Prof. Pumyos VALLIKUL from the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Natee Thong-Un, and Asst.Prof.Dr. Wongsakorn Wongsaroge from the Department of Instrumentation and Electronic Engineering—the group explored the potential for dynamic student exchange programs and joint research initiatives.
Faculty members from both sides expressed enthusiasm about the possibilities that such a partnership could bring. The proposed MoU is expected to create avenues for sharing knowledge, resources, and innovative research methodologies, ultimately contributing to technological advancements and cross-cultural academic enrichment. The discussions underscored a mutual commitment to excellence in engineering education and research, laying the groundwork for long-term cooperation that transcends geographical borders.
As plans continue to develop, both KMUTNB and Shizuoka University look forward to harnessing their combined strengths to inspire the next generation of engineers and researchers, paving the way for a vibrant future of shared innovation and academic success.
