Historic MoU Signing Ceremony Between University of Toyama and KMUTNB Fosters International Collaboration

Bangkok, Thailand – July 10, 2024 –

In a significant step towards strengthening academic ties and fostering international collaboration, the University of Toyama, Japan, and King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok (KMUTNB), Thailand, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on July 10, 2024. The ceremony, held at the Faculty of Engineering at KMUTNB, marks the beginning of a promising partnership to advance research and educational initiatives.

The event, which took place from 9:30 – 12.00 PM Bangkok time in Room 81-212, brought together prominent delegates from both institutions. Representing the University of Toyama were:

The ceremony began with a warm welcome and introduction of the delegates by KMUTNB President Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Suchart Siengchin. This was followed by a video presentation introducing KMUTNB, opening remarks by the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, and a speech by University of Toyama President Prof. Shigeru Saito. The University of Toyama also shared a video highlighting its institution and the Aluminum Research Center.

The highlight of the event was the formal signing of the MoU by the Presidents and Deans of both universities, followed by a group photograph and a souvenir exchange. This agreement signifies a mutual commitment to collaborative research and academic exchange, with a particular focus on engineering and sustainable design.

This partnership between the University of Toyama and KMUTNB is expected to pave the way for Aluminum research, enhancing the academic excellence and global presence of both institutions.
