- Effective presentation workshop on 10 Jan 2024, 9.30 am- 12.00 pm.
What will you learn: How to convey information quickly to your audience and understand why you are doing so. Includes: Presentation on best practices for presenting technical information. Presentation from a volunteer (fish) followed by constructive criticism (cats) by the audience. Volunteers for the presentation who are willing to practice for an upcoming presentation and accept some encouraging criticism from the audience. The volunteer can be any undergrad or graduate.
2. Technical writing workshop on 31 Jan 2024, 9.30 am- 12.00 pm.
What will you learn: How to write, order, and compile information so it makes sense to your reader. Includes: Organizing a technical report. Constructing text. Thinking about style, grammar, and formatting.
